Doggy Heaven by *seniorgoldenspork
Here’s a drawing of my awesome dog, Twinkie. She passed last summer and now I’m sure she’s napping and farting on clouds in doggy heaven. :)
A few months after she passed, a kitten with the same color pallet as Twinkie, found its way into our backyard. We didn’t giver her much attention, because stray cats tend to just pee on stuff, give you a middle finger and move on. This cat in particular just kept coming back to our house and before you know it, she was sleeping there every night. I’m not a cat person at all, but I’ve been around enough to tell that this cat was very different from others. This one was very approachable, playful and didn’t startle as easy as other cats. My sister eventually made the decision to take in the cat and slapped a collar on her.
It hadn’t been that long since Twinkie had left us, so it was hard not to see similar mannerisms between Twinkie and our new cat, Rocco. Like Twinkie, she sits by our backyard screen door and meows for our attention when hungry or just wants to play or be petted. We’d very much like to think it’s our dog reincarnated into this cat. It’s a silly thought, but it makes us happy to think that she found us again :D
